Convivium
A convivium is a feast, a celebration of life together, the origins of which lie in ancient Etruscan gatherings organized around the enjoyment of food and wine. It also happens to be the name used for the organizational units of the Slow Food movement (Brian was a member of the Sonoma Convivium in the 1990s).
It’s a good word for something that we imagine less like a club and more as kind of seasonal rite, or recurring celebration.
We have a simple model. Join the Convivium and receive a twenty percent discount on our wine in return for your patronage. You choose to receive a shipment of two, four, or six bottles, four times a year (March, May, September, November), accompanied by our letter. You will be the first to hear about new releases, small batch projects, and dinners— real, live convivia— on the farm. Tastings for up to four people are complimentary for those in the Convivium.
